A 20 minute drive along a winding mountain road with spectacular
views over the Montgo headland brings you to the delightful cosmopolitan
town of Denia. Rich in history and culture, its streets are a
fascinating example of architecture through the ages and the buildings
are a monument to the civilisations that have made their mark here. The
focal point is the impressive 16th century castle. There are day trips
to the Balearic Islands and catamaran trips for the more nautical
adventurers.
To experience traditional Spain explore the beautiful historic
village of Guadalest set in the mountains and the nearby 'Waterfalls of
Algar' which are places not to be missed by the visitor.
The nearby towns
of Moraira with it's beautiful sandy coves, Calpe with it's legendary
rock, Benissa and Teulada all have their own individual
characters to explore.
